For Latter-day Saints, we were warned in General Conference by an Apostle to defend Religious Liberty. I’m not sure where you all were, but we lost last night. Recall Brad Little shut down churches as non-essential (consider this talk from Elder Hales from 2015 as well).

The Silver Linings

Congratulations Brian Jeppsen and Ron Labrador. There is still a small window of hope for Dorthy Moon.

What yesterday’s election showed me was:

1. Despite the claims of many, “We the people” are generally still asleep
2. Voter Apathy is not diminishing with lock-downs, high inflation and gas prices, and a broken supply chain, it’s increasing
3. While Oneida county did better, Conservatives generally are still unwilling to put aside minor differences for the greater good, where-as the opposition will abandon all principles to push an agenda.
4. Idaho is now just another Utah – solidly run by progressive Republicans, supported by a socialist majority (in action and desire, while believing themselves to be conservative)
5. We still have a lot more pain and struggle to go through before the people desire a return to true Classically Liberal (Conservative), Free-market, Constitutionally protected principles.
6. Despite touting their conservative principles and complaining, most Idahoans love paying taxes
